History

Who are we?

SHAMON AIR AND FILTERATION EQUIPMENT was started by Shayne Chalklen and Simon Feasey (SHAMON) in 1994 as a small business from a private address. The company has since grown and evolved into a huge manufacturer and supplier of filters both for domestic and industrial needs as well as Chillers and Process Coolers. We are also known as S.A.F.E (NZ) in short throughout our history and we think it is a cool name just like us!

Quality

Our founding statement has been “To supply the best products, using the latest technology while providing the highest quality service so enabling us to exceed our clients’ expectations”. This really encompasses how we work, as quality is our number one priority. All manufactured goods go through a stringent quality control process where the jobs are counter-checked by peers for a matrix of measuring criteria for that product. Any products out of specification are rejected and a rejection by another peer is not something any staff member looks forward too!

Our Staff

They have been long standing, experienced and knowledgeable and work in a family environment. They are valued and paid market rates so are happy to work and contribute to the company’s success.

Turnover

We are customer centric and will do the utmost to complete orders on time and to quick turnaround requirements. We understand the frustrations of the tradesman and their need for quick custom made product. In most cases, we will be able to manufacture a few panel filters or re-media filters while they wait or while they have a cup of coffee!

Manufacturing principles: Our products are made locally in our factory using local and imported materials. We support our local manufacturers for extrusions, plastics, rubber and frames making sure that we grow together. Our imported materials comes from Vokes (Sweden) and Airepure to enable us to provide the quality that we want to be associated with. We have implemented LEAN manufacturing principles, SPC and QC systems to ensure that our products conform to our high standards and meets ISO 16890 filtration requirements

Innovations

Simon and Shayne together with our sales and production teams have the experience to tackle any filtration and clean air problems and provide effective solutions. We have pioneered different products that are unique and accepted even in the high demand dairy and food industries.
